Rocky Mountain Junk is a locally operated junk removal company working out of Calgary, serving homes and businesses across the city. We started it because getting rid of an old couch — or clearing a suite between tenants — shouldn't take three phone calls and a price nobody will explain.
So we price the way the job actually works — by the space your load takes up in the truck. Quarter, half, three-quarter, full. You see the level, you hear the price, and then we load. The number doesn't move once you've agreed to it.
We handle the carrying, the sweeping and the sorting: donation and recycling wherever it's practical, proper disposal for the rest. Day or night, seven days a week, across Calgary and the surrounding towns.

How does load-based pricing work?
We price on how much space your items take up in the truck — quarter, half, three-quarter or full. You can see the level yourself, so the price reflects what's actually there rather than an estimate made sight unseen.
What does a job cost?
It depends on the fill level, the type of items and how hard they are to get out. We give you the number before any work starts — request a quote and we'll walk you through how we got to it.
Do you work with businesses?
Yes. Offices, retail units, rentals, property management turnovers, warehouses and job sites. Same load-based pricing, and we can work around your hours so it doesn't disrupt the business.
What can you take?
Furniture, appliances, household and office clutter, garage and basement contents, renovation debris and general property cleanout items. If you're unsure about something specific, send a photo and ask.
What can't you take?
Some hazardous and regulated materials — paints, chemicals, asbestos and certain electronics — need special handling and disposal. Tell us what you've got and we'll point you to the right way to deal with it.
Do I need to move things outside first?
No. We remove items from wherever they sit — garage, basement, back yard, spare room, suite or storage area. Carrying it out is part of the job, not an extra.
Do you take appliances?
Yes — fridges, freezers, washers, dryers and stoves are routine for us, with responsible recycling wherever possible.
Do you handle renovation debris?
We do — drywall, flooring, cabinetry, trim and general reno waste. Let us know the scope when you request a quote so we can plan the load properly.
What areas do you serve?
All four quadrants of Calgary, plus Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere and Okotoks. Just outside those? Ask — we'll give you a straight answer.
Are you available evenings and weekends?
Yes. We're reachable 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays — useful when a commercial job has to happen outside business hours.

Yes. One mattress or one fridge is a quarter-load job and we treat it like any other. You don't need to save up a pile to be worth the trip.
